Transformation: Not a one-off exercise

No business is immune to change.  We hear lots about the technology revolution and digital transformation and there’s no escaping the seismic impact of these developments.  But they are not the only factors affecting how business needs to constantly adapt.  There are enormous social, economic and geo-political trends changing the way people behave. We have recently been talking to Swiss ski resorts about the challenges they face; changing tastes, generational shifts in attitude to leisure, an ageing population, new patterns of global travel and even local climate change. It is having a fundamental impact on their business that requires significant re-modelling for them. One thing is for sure, change is constant and transformation is never a one-off if you want to future proof your organisation. So while you power up your digital marketing, refine your brand positioning and look at how to re-purpose resources it pays to keep a close eye on the whole picture and be ready to adapt.
